Dr dt ogilvie launched The Center for Urban Entrepreneurship & Economic Development at Rutgers University, in the fall of 1988. Building an excellent research –driven, teaching and practitioner-oriented program focused on transforming the economy of Newark, New Jersey, and other urban centers, was her vision—vision, achieved!In her role at Rutgers Business School, she teaches business strategy, creativity in business, and executive leadership & international negotiations.

She is a speaker, author, & guest columnist. Her article “How African-American Women Lead” is a must read. She continues in her role as a longstanding (22 years) member of the National Black MBA Association, where she served for 9 years on its Board of Directors, most recently as Vice Chair of the Board.

She earned her BA in Sociology from Oberlin College, an MBA in Strategic Management & International Strategic Management from Southern Methodist University,and a Ph.D. in Strategic Management from The University of Texas at Austin
